Conclusion:
I was at an Assertiveness seminar once where it was recounted to me what had happened on a previous occasion. One person had a real struggle in expressing themselves interpersonally. A second person was actually quite assertive, with a healthy view of themselves and others. They had a confrontation.
Most confrontations happen because of misunderstandings, badly expressing ourselves, mitigating factors such as physical condition of the people – anything but a sincere desire to harm. You have had a lifetime already, of dealing with these, more or less positively. I hope this little session encourages you to continue this, and gives you a little more help along the way not only of carefully confronting, but also in walking with Jesus as He guides you along His path. With His guidance and the leading of the Holy Spirit, you can do this.
Let us pray.
