I once took a course on Pastoral Visitation at a hospital. I learned that people coming into a hospital have two major concerns:

1. They don't have control over the process – they have to give it up to the Dr.'s and Nurses, to the hospital environment.
2. They are bored silly because there's nothing to do. While I couldn't give them control, studies had shown that healing was greatly facilitated if the person simply knew what to expect – so, that was one thing I tried to help them with – explain a little of the procedures they were going through.

In that spirit, I hope to allay any concerns you many have (even though you're not in a hospital) – The process I hope to engage here this weekend is to:

1. explain the background behind Carefrontation
2. explain the process
3. have all of us experiment with it through role-playing.
